A few weeks back, I watched Inception. Have you watched it? It's a great movie! Have not watched one that made me think for a long time. I'm not gonna spoil it for those who have not watched but do watch it if you have not! And pay attention k?
And! I bought a new solar lamp from Ikea! So happy! I know I'm gonna sound real "kuku" here; but I really love going green! I am into the whole reduce, reuse and recycle part. Though I really ought to cut down on my computer usage, and um... scrapbooking kinda uses alot of stuff. But some companies use organic soy-based inks to print the patterned papers, and some papers come from forests that are managed to meet stringent environmental and social impact requirements or are recycled. Hee! So anyway, I got my lamp and though I gotta charge it for 9-12 hours before being able to use it for only 3 hours, I'm real happy to cut down on my electricity usage! Hubs says its so troublesome; I agree. But I love the lamp and I love that its solar so! And for every lamp sold, Ikea donates one to The United Nations Children's Fund. Isn't that so great?! I mean, I get to go green, and a kid gets his/her world lighted up at night! Seriously, I'm so happy about it!!! Daddy decided to get a few for a church brother who's going on mission and I think its a great idea! Again, a few kids get their world lighted up! Oh, joy!

It's selling at $29, it's inexpensive! It's not very, very bright, but it will do. For me, and for those who have no electricity. It lights up my work desk so I can see while I work on my scraps.
I also bought some organic handmade soap, and while trying to sell the idea to hubs, I gave him the story of how soap was made in the past; using animal fats. And that changed during war time or something; people were poor and couldn't afford meat and then soap started to be mass-produced. (Read this somewhere, might have gotten some facts wrong or mixed up) Something like that. And I told him bout the benefits of using organic soap and all...contain no additives, preservatives or chemicals that may otherwise harm you, your skin or the environment. Hee hee. Then he retorted with a, "Wah, you even know the history of soap!" -_- Ok la, I know sometimes I go a bit mad with my try-to-go-green but hey! Just trying to choose what's good for us and the environment. I don't like using soap bars too, too used to the shower foams...But I'm sure after awhile of using soap bars, we will get used to it again. Then hubs came up with, "Remember what Chandler said in "Friends"? What's the first and last part of your body you wash when you use a bar soap? First - your face. Last - your groin area. Then the next person? First - His/her face. Last - his/her groin area." You get the idea. -_-
As the title suggest, all random stuff!! =)
