The one with more words

Today when we were walking in the park, Kate & I saw a huge dog with its owner. Kate excitedly pointed to it & exclaimed, "Horse!"

My little gal. It is so fun & marvelling to be with her at this growing & talking stage. Everyday she amazes me with the new words that she use. She usually points to herself when she wants me to sing to her, & tonight, the action was acompanied with the word, "Song!"

When I was mopping the floor earlier in the day, I hurt myself & exclaimed, "Ouch!" & she repeated after me. Which made me realise that she can enunciate words with "s"s, "ce"s & "ch"s very well. So I sat her down, & asked her to repeat after me the words;

Nice
Watch
French
Ouch
Specs
*Can't think of anymore now haha*

& she did very well! Except for the word "French", the front part didn't sound quite right. =) Other than that, the rest were puur-fecto!

The one with more cards

Ooh, I just made another 2 cards!
I absolutely love this!

This card was made for a very special someone who is feeling down & out, for quite a while. To cheer her up, I made the card for her & got a few items; chocolates & stuff & packed it into a nice reusable bag I got from Daiso earlier. I wanted to get a paper bag, but thought a green bag would be better. Heh. I know that visual is very important for pictures, when you are presenting something. But its in the middle of the night, & I'm too lazy to get the right background, thus the pictures ain't very pretty. But never mind... I just wanna remember I did the card. =)

Enjoy your little treat, babe!

p/s
Mommy told me earlier, that my friend is very blessed to have a friend like me, & I replied her that she was also there for me when I was down & out. Then mommy said; "No, I see the way you treat all your friends, & I think they are all blessed to have you in their lives." I felt all warm & fuzzy inside; mom has never said anything like that to me before. (At that point, I felt that I really don't need anyone's approval, just my parents' will do. Good riddance to the rest!)To mask my emotions, I told her "Yea, I'm not as lousy as you always say me to be." =P

The one with updates!

I have been so busy lately... Playing farmville & cafe world, doing little scrapbooking experiments & cardmaking! Ooh, I love card making, & oh there's the fabric buttons too! I found this little diy fabric buttons thingy on ebay.com & I heart it! (Though I found out that I could have gotten them at just 2 bucks from Daiso. =( I bought them at nearly $4 per box...) I have got lots of pretty fabric lying around & making buttons out of them is so fun! I made a big button for Rick & Jo's wedding bears, pretty?

Here's a pic of one of the cards I made, I kinda think there's a whimsical feel to it, don't you? I did another one I absolutely love, but can't post it yet, as it's a gift for someone who reads my blog. Hee!

Hubs and I bought a camera, our first! I love that it's idiot-proof & automatically turns to the mode that you need when you point it to a subject. No more switching of camera modes, yipee! Kate's into drawing now, you will always catch her with a pen or pencil, pretending to draw on paper! Too bad these pics are a bit blurry though no fault of the camera, the subject just wouldn't stop moving!

Last night when we were lying in bed, she suddenly turned to me & said, "Wet!". When I checked her pants, I realised her diapers leaked. So adorable right?
And this morning when her dad's alarm went off, she stirred & woke up, turning to me all sleepy & blur saying "Phone.". My little rugrat.

We shared my favorite chocolate cookies this morning...

The one with the new words

During our stay in Australia, Kate did a few "first-times". So when we came back, everyone was suprised at the new stuff she could do. While at the beach in surfers paradise, Kate suddenly stood up all by herself - previously she needed support before she could do so. This, fortunately, was caught on video. Hubs was so suprised he exclaimed loudly!  Before we left for our holiday, she just learnt how to walk. When we came back, she was walking alot more by herself. She also started saying "See you!" together with her byes which is so darn cute & I think she picked that up while we were there.

Tonight, my little gal suprised me again.
I asked her if she wanted some milk before she sleeps, & she nodded which was her usual reaction to the question. Then I asked her "Are you sure?". To my immerse suprise & no doubt delight, she answered me, "Sure!"

My little gal.

Anyway yesterday when I was sleeping in the morning, Kate was playing on my tummy. I am having a bad throat so I got hubs to buy strepsils for me which was hidden under my blanket. Stupid of me actually. Kate found it & took one. While sleeping, I suddenly heard a choking sound. The first thought that came to my mind was Kate's choking & what can she be choking on?! I got up immediately & grabbed her. She was gasping & in her small fist was my packet of strepsils. I smelled her mouth & yea, my little tot took my strepsil. Sigh! She managed to swallow it down, amidst her crying & for awhile after that, I didn't know whether to be upset or laughing. Upset because I didn't know what could happen to her, since its medicine & she's so young. In the end, all I did was pray she would only get abit of tummy-ache & nothing else. So careless of me actually. Last night I showed her the packet of strepsils & asked her if she wanted some & she nodded! @##@ I told her that if she ever got her hands on it again, she is to give it to me, haha. I don't think that's what she will be doing though, if ever again she gets her hands on it.

The one with "Woof woof!"

Little Kate is growing so fast, its marvelling.

Last night, I brought her to bed early, since I was having a fever. Suddenly she sat up and stretched out her arms asking for dog dog. Puzzled, I said to her that there wasn't any dog around. She looked at me & repeated "Dog dog." And then she did the cutest thing ever - she started barking "Woof woof!" I couldn't stop laughing despite my discomfort!
