I think cold weather fashion will suit me very much! Since I've got a tummy bulge, I can hide it under my jacket and wear jeans with boots everyday! And still look great! But I realise of course, that cold isn't always great. Though I always liked the idea of lounging at home in long pants and booties, I cannot imagine that kind of cold. Everytime I go to Genting, I always regret not bringing more/thicker jackets. The last time when I brought Kate over, we went to the kid's indoors swimming pool and I forgot to bring clothes to change into for myself. So I wrapped Kate with my big towel and carried her in my wet swimsuit and walked back shivering for about ten minutes to the hotel room. Yikes! Kate had a great time though, and so it's worth it! She cried and refused to leave but I had to make her since it was quite cold even though the water was nice and warm. It's a playground sorta place, so the water's only up to my knees? And Kate wanted to climb up and down which meant she would be out of the warm water and I was afraid she might catch a cold.
Anyway I digress! I have got tons of pictures! From my little party with Von and Fanni, and dinner with hubs and Kate! Von and Fanni brought me to this lovely quaint restaurant/shop at Plaza Sg, (The shop's name is "A thousand angels" I think) and we also went to drink at Serangoon gardens after that. I didn't stay long though, but I had fun!
I met Jo for lunch the next day but didn't take any pictures! =(
On the eve of my birthday, hubs, Kate and I baked cookies...Kate helped for the first batch, then went to sleep. And hubs did almost everything for the second batch. (Because I had to put Kate to bed.) Hee. He said that it was really therapeutic to knead the dough. Well, he's more than welcome to mix and knead the dough next time! Kate really enjoyed the hands-on experience and I'm so glad we did it together as a family.
And on my birthday itself! I love eating at Kuishinbo! Yumms! And I highly suspect Kate loves it more than me! I was ummm...skeptical that we would be able to stay long, as Kate might not be able to sit quietly for too long. Maximum maybe about an hour or so? And since Kuishinbo was a Jap buffet, I wanted to enjoy my dinner at a leisurely pace. However, Kate was really well-behaved and when we left, it was because we were done with our dinner. We were there for two hours! I showed Kate around the buffet lines and I showed her the dessert area too. Of course, she loved that area most. Heh heh. As a special treat, I got her a plate of desserts towards the end of our dinner.
Wanted to go the Flyer after, as we had a one for one ticket, but I couldn't find it in my bag and thought that I had left it at home...So went home and cut my birthday log cake.
